Bridgette joined Santone Lawyers in June 2023, as Special Counsel.

Bridgette is an experienced litigator with 14 years’ post admission experience, including 10 years’ experience as a barrister.

Bridgette completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of New South Wales. She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Sydney, where she won the Maddocks Prize for Labour Law in 2010.

Bridgette was admitted as solicitor in 2007 and commenced practice with a top tier firm, where she obtained experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation and workplace employment and safety. She has experience providing strategic and practical advice to employers and employees regarding terminations of employment, victimisation, OHS, sexual harassment, discrimination and human rights. She understands the unique pressures which trial by media can generate and has worked on high-profile sexual harassment cases, including Rich v PWC and Frazer-Kirk v David Jones.

In 2011, Bridgette was called to the bar where she completed her readership under the tutelage of Sue Chrysanthou SC. At the bar, Bridgette developed practices in defamation, discrimination and wills and estates law. She has experience appearing in and running trials in the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Common Law and Equity Divisions of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the District Court of New South Wales, the Local Court and NCAT.

Bridgette specialises in family law, wills and estates, employment law and defamation and is passionate about obtaining real, rather than pyrrhic victories, for individual clients.

Outside of work Brigdette is a member of Woollahra Council’s Animal Advisory Committee. She is passionate about bush regeneration and enjoys yoga, swimming, running, skiing and supporting the Sydney Swans.

She is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia
