Carmine commenced his career as a legal officer and claims manager with a leading insurance company, where he worked for approximately 4 years. Carmine was then admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 6 June 1997. He worked in private practice for a number of law firms, where he practised in a variety of jurisdictions, specialising in litigation.
